Am I the only person that thought Downton Abbey was called Downtown Abby????? oops. My mom informed me yesterday that I was wrong. NOPE. It should be called Downtown Abbey, and thats what I will call it! hahah

Anyways, there are multiple boys in my house and they are really loud talking about super nerdy things like creating videos and why the Maloofs are dumb and government while drinking beers and it is making it really difficult to watch DowntoWn Abbey…. They are really loud!

For The Love Of Hair.

I am a lazy butt. I am going to blame this whole not having a job thing for that. Yes, I know, I know, I could go do stuff because I supposedly have all this time…but I would rather just blame the my joblessness. (lets not confuse this with me not looking for work) Anyways, if I can get away with not having to get dressed, I don’t. I really like wearing sweatshirts and my UGGs and yoga pants err.. I mean jeans…. No but really though. As much as I like getting dressed, right now I am home most of the time or I am working for my dad (which is at his home office) and the only real time I have to get dressed is for jewelry shows and when I volunteer on wednesdays for the school district (and even there I have slacked off a lot. Hey, at least I am going!)

I am always super jealous when people have awesome hair styles. And I have a board on Pinterest that is called “So I have This Obsession With Cute Hair” and I totally love the small things blog. So why am I not trying any of these hair styles out on myself????? I have no idea! well I do have an idea…it probably has some something to do with my good friend Lazy Mcgee.

I am getting my hair cut (and by cut I mean my bangs will be back to bangs and not just layers) on Saturday and I am planning on trying to do more with my hair then. I am not going to promise glamour-afied hair, because that ain’t happnen, capisce?! But I am tired of my normal second day hair of just pinning my bangs back and being boring.

So if you know of any EASY cute hairstyles that I could try, SHOWTHEMTOME!!! Easy being the key word.

So ya. Hopefully I can stick to this.

Here are a few I want to try out.

PS. I am terrible at teasing my hair, so if you have any tips, I would be totally grateful.

They all look relatively simple, right???

Well, I will let you know how it goes…wish me luck. I am going to need it.

You Make My Speakers Go Boom Boom

First things first! Today is the one year anniversary of my BFFs wedding!! Please note, I said wedding, not marriage…;) I love you Chloe! Happy Anniversary!

PS. none of my friends know about my blog so this is just a shout out to no one lol but I am still happy for her and Scot.

And because there aren’t any photos until the end….here is a cute puppy photo

A few weeks ago some super awesome bloggers nominated me for the liebster award! They are some of my favs too, So thank you Liz @ Beyond Blonde and Bethany @ The Classy Bee!! You guys are amazing! I was nominated by Melissa @ A Mile In Her Boots a few months back for this award as well so I already wrote about it. If you want to read it, go here!

Anyways, I have been Shazaam-ing about a million songs the past few weeks. Do you Shazaam? I love that app. I don’t have many apps on my main pages (nor do I have many main pages). I don’t really like clutter. SOO I was gonna talk about what I am loving these days, and then I turned on the tv and started watching Listen To Your Heart. Which is about music and completely filled with SO MANY CLICHES, Oye. But thats not the point. The point is, it solidified my idea to talk about my radio finds.

1. Mumford and Son’s
Yes I know I am just now jumping on the bandwagon. But I have decided that I totally love them.

2. Take You Higher – by Goodwill & Hook N Sling
The normal version is good, but we went out the other night and the DJ spun it way better than the original.

3. Cough Syrup – by Young The Giant

4. Change – by Churchill

5. Catch My Breath – by Kelly Clarkson
I love me some Kelly, but this video reminds me of Mandy Moore’s video Cry from A Walk to Remember – annnnd now I totally want to watch that movie…

6. Somebody’s Heartbreak – by Hunter Hayes
Yes, I know this kid is like 12 but I love him. Like a lot a lot.

7. Demons and It’s Time – by Imagine Dragons

8. Ho Hey – by The Lumineers
Of course.

9. Sail – Awolnation
Cody hates this song, but I dig it.

10. Don’t Ya – by Brett Eldredge

11. Little Talks – by Of Monsters and Men
Totally love this song. The video? Not so much.

12. Hope – by Royal Tailor
This song totally makes my heart happy

13. Wagon Wheel – by Darius Rucker

14. Joshua Radin
Anything by him is good, actually.

15. I knew You Were Trouble – Taylor Swift
At first I was disappointed in her for this song. But then it grew on me and now I really like it. I think I am just bummed that she isn’t keeping it country. I feel like she could be a fabulous country singer but only an average pop star. I hope she doesn’t go down the Miley Cyrus hole.

I could go on, but I won’t. I am actually surprised that more of these aren’t country. Its probably because I know EVERY country song played on the radio and I don’t need to Shazaam it to remember that I like it. But I will mention one more and give you the video. I pretty much adore Andy Samberg (Cody doesn’t understand my obsession), so anything he does is on my greatness list (judge me if you must, I wanna have that man’s babies!)

I also find it appropriate because I am linking up for #YOLO Mondays.

*****Disclaimer: I do not approve of the term YOLO. Yes I am from Sacramento and the next county over is Yolo county….

High 5 For Friday!

First sentences suck…especially when my nails are wet…I am just gonna get to it.

I am so happy. It has finally rained today! Call me crazy, but I LOVE the rain. We haven’t had any for a while and I am thrilled that it came today. I hope there is more soon.

Sacramento has crazy weather. We don’t get snowstorms and most of the time when it rains, it doesn’t stay that long. We also get 110* plus during the summer and get down to the 30s in the winter. I don’t know how my body does it, but it adjusts. We had a longer summer than I would have liked and when it hit 70*  I was thrilled and put on long sleeves. But now that it is winter, when it hits 55* I am dying of heat. I am the girl who chooses comfort over fashion EVERY time. So this past weekend, I was thrilled that I could wear shoes that didn’t require socks.

PS. My bangs are outrageously long. Don’t judge them.

Katie Did What

Yesterday I was talking about the Dream Board that I made and one of my dreams was to get a job. If you have been reading my little blog for a while or if you just read my “about me” section then you know that I have been job hunting for some time now. There have been many ups and downs during this time and a lot of disappointment along with frustration and the newest one of disbelief. (Some places are just rude.) I have always tried to be as positive as I could be about the whole situation and tell myself that it will happen when it is supposed to happen. And I still believe that. After my awesome meltdown  yesterday from dealing with dumb people, I realized that I could complain about it and be upset and keep doing what I have been doing OR I could change what I am doing. I could try something different. I’m not sure what exactly is going to be different, but I am going to start with my dream that I turned into a goal on my dream board. I have made a plan, one that I can stick with and accomplish each day. I am excited. I hope it brings some change and hopefully a job.

Anyways, so thats what I have to say for today. Exciting, right? Well, on an even more exciting note, my new spring line arrived on my doorstep today 🙂

IMG_20130122_122649Happy Wednesday!

California Dreamin’

This weekend was spent putting a lot of time and effort into making dreams into reachable goals. It was fabulous actually. And perfect timing for MLK day. This weekend my Premier family had us all create dream boards. At first, I was a little skeptical on the whole thing. Yes I have dreams and goals and all that jazz but why do I need to put it on a board and honestly, what would I do with that board once it was finished. Well I am glad I was at a training where this was our activity or else I never would have done it, and let me tell you. I can’t stop talking about my board. But really though. Constant fascination. (Don’t judge my lameness)webdreamboardI love this thing. Have you ever made a dream board? They are supposed to have all of your dreams that you want to achieve on there. Mine is a short term dream board. More about myself and how I want to see the world and how I want the world to see me and how I want to see myself. It also has a lot of my Premier Designs dreams on there too.

I had an absolutely fabulous time making this. I look at it every day. I am that awesome…..haha. No matter how awesome I think this thing is, it is still important to turn your goals into reachable dreams. (I feel like this is kind of turning into a DIY post. Its not supposed to be. I just am super excited about it. If you do want more details, I can totally tell you more if you want.) I was fortunate enough to be given these worksheets to fill out to turn my dreams into goals (how cheesy, but totally awesome). IMAG0599I filled out 3 of these and put them on the back of my dream board.

So anyways, I love this thing. I am so excited to start working on these and actually be able to make progress and achieve these goals. I am not going to lie. Sometimes it is hard to own a business and be your own boss. You have no one telling you what to do so staying on track can sometimes be difficult. Thats why I am finding this thing so fabulous. It is a reminder to myself of what I want so I don’t forget. There is a plan for me to accomplish these too, because sometimes you get in a rut and don’t know where to go, or how to start, or even what you are doing it for. I love having this visual reminder. It has been amazing so far and I have only had it for a few days.

So here are my goals:

1. Find a full time job.
2. 25 home show club (hold 25 jewelry shows in 120 days, anyone want to have one??)
3. Sponsor someone and bring them into my PD family.

Do you have a dream board? Have you ever done anything like this? Wanna help me achieve my goals?
Happy Tuesday!

Tired Puppies

Last week I completely neglected the wonderful little blog of mine. I wan’t reading my normal go to blogs or writing interesting stuff, nor was I even responding to my fabulous readers. I am trying to get back on track. It was an off week last week and even though it was exciting and busy, I let my anxiety get the best of me and so I wasn’t fully included in my own week. I’m not sure if that made any sense what so ever but I don’t care lol. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that you have today off as well.

Since we are taking the day off for a man who was all about dreams, I plan on trying to have a decent post on Tuesday somewhat on the subject. Key word being “plan”, so don’t judge when tuesday is a recipe and not something fantastic about Dreams with unicorns and delicious tasting broccoli (its a dream, right? thats the only place where broccoli tastes decent…)

Until then, happy MLK day.

High 5 For Friday!

This week was wonderful. I kept myself totally busy and that made me totally happy. So now that it is Friday, I am totally tired and I feel pretty accomplished. Totally awesome feeling BTW. Here are a few of the highlights!

1. All things Premier Designs related. Rally was on Saturday and it was so amazing — I loved every part of it and it was a deifnite highlight to my week 🙂 Now that the spring line has debuted, the new PD fashion boards have been going around like crazy! I love seeing them all. It is a good way to get different ideas on how to wear them. Also, I was able to order all my new jewelry from the spring line this week and it shipped yesterday! I can’t wait for it to get here!!!!

IMG_20130117_2306372. It was a first chair, last call kind of day on Wednesday up at Sugar Bowl. I got to ski the whole day with my dad. Also, it is really hard to not look like a goober in a helmet and all of your other ski clothes!

IMAG05863. Last night we had an awesome evening with many of our friends. We played Apples to Apples JR (the JR version is totally lame. The normal version is much better. We are also looking into Cards Against Humanity…Don’t judge us we are awesome. Last night included me participating in my first pool ever. Hilarious. I can’t wait to see the outcome (even though I hope we are all wrong)…Another awesome thing that happened last night, mani/pedis with the BFF (it was a belated bday present from her. BEST.THING.EVER.)

IMG_20130117_2301414. My IPSY bag arrived yesterday! I can’t wait to share! Totally love that company. So worth it 🙂

mzl.icrlncqx.175x175-755. Finding out I have 21 videos to watch in my Hulu+ account. Totally stoked!

I hope you had a fabulous week! What were your favorite things??
